The conical-basket pusher centrifuge is a two-stage pusher centrifuge that is designed with a conical-shaped second-stage cylinder. The conical container decreases the cake's resistance to movement, and as the cake layer thins, it decreases the liquid's penetration resistance, further reducing the moisture content.
This configuration is especially well-suited for materials that necessitate comprehensive in-line washing to enhance product purity, as well as those with finer particles and higher viscosity. The separation of soda ash, sodium bicarbonate, calcium chloride, barium hydroxide, benzyl benzoate, and lactide are among the most common applications.

The material enters the centrifuge constantly through feed pipe A after its solid-liquid ratio has been adjusted, and acceleration disc B uniformly distributes it onto the first-stage drum C. This screen filters the majority of the mother liquor, which is then collected by the liquid collection hood and released from the machine by outlet G. A cake is formed by the materials depositing on the screen.
The cake is gradually forced into the second-stage drum D by the first-stage drum, which rotates and reciprocates. This causes the cake's internal structure and position on the screen to change, as well as increases its centrifugal force. The strong centrifugal field lowers the cake's moisture content because it has had enough time to settle in the drum. The cake exits the machine through outlet E and the solids collecting chute once it reaches the second-stage drum outlet.
Highly efficient washing can be done inside the centrifuge when the purity of the solids is crucial: wash liquid is continually sprayed onto the solid cake via wash pipe F before passing through the screen and collection hood to discharge. The separated mother liquor can also be gathered and released in different fractions if necessary.
